Onto this week’s finds!

Every single person who has ever needed to work with a chef or caterer to create a menu wants to develop a unique experience for their guests. By the age of 25, I figure most people have been to more than a few weddings, parties, galas or formal dinners and the need for something ‘new’ and 'unique’ is even more important.

Some questions one might ask are:

All the buzz last week was around Bridal Fashion Week and this week will focus on the New York City Wine and Food Festival. Though we’re pretty excited to see the food industry trends for events, the department stores are already putting out the trees and trimmings…and we’re still deciding on what costume our tech guy will wear for Halloween.

We’re also getting ready for #IdeaFest, and we’ve been seeing a lot of cool and innovative ideas via BizBash. So to stay in the spooky spirit, we’re sharing some fun tablescapes and Halloween decor for those of you #eventprofs planning an event in the next couple of weeks.

Innovation Nation

Innovation has been the talk of the town, especially after alleynyc’s One Year Anniversary Blowout last week. It’s important to always keep re-inventing yourself, putting forth the best you have to offer, and showing off your creativity!

Over on 42nd Street, we tend to recharge around 2pm, yeah, lunchtime. We wanted to dare to be different–try something new, something innovative–and stumbled upon this little gem:

We’re starting the weekend early!

We’ll be heading down to AlleyNYC’s celebration this evening, honoring NYC’s latest and greatest innovators and entrepreneurs. There’s going to be over 100+ startups getting their geek on and raising a craft brew or two towards working together to change the world.

We’ll be rocking out to DJ Cipha Sounds and his pals from Hot 97, and the party will be loaded with booze, good eats, and of course, cool swag. What’s more, StandupNY Labs is going to be filming the entire evening! Are you pumped? We knew it. Come down and “live life proper" with the techies of NYC.
