We’re wrapping up another great week here at Boomset’s HQ—so great we only #TBT'd to Tuesday—of this week—when we were at the Tibet House US’s Annual Benefit Concert. We’ll say it again and again: we deeply appreciate the opportunity to be at the door of each and every event we do, being able to meet and greet some of the most inspiring and influential minds of today at check-in.

Our wedding planners are especially going to love this one. The legend goes as follows:

Make It A ____ Year…

The holiday season seemed to whizz by this year—we’re already a couple days into 2014 and almost onto the first weekend of the new year!

We’ve been seeing a lot of countdowns and roundups over the last few weeks over the Tweetverse and other networks, as well as a lot of talk about being or becoming “new” for the “New Year.” As we get ready for the NYNJ Super Bowl and other fun events 2014 will bring, we wanted something inspirational and motivational for all of those in the events industry for our first post of the year.

WIth that said, here are a few quotes and photos to not just “go new,” but get BETTER and be the BEST that you can:

Use a journal or app to take notes and record some of the most interesting parts of your dreams. They may seem strange, but you never know if/when they can be incorporated into an event.

         

You’re making everything you do BETTER—always be prepared for kinks and throwbacks (not the #tbt kind, but you get it).

So is London, Chicago, Toronto, Beijing, etc. etc. etc. You already know events are heading abroad and all the trend-talk aside, we become inspired by really immersing ourselves in what’s around us. Take a leap and add an event that requires a little bit of travel to your résumé—-if you specialize in one location only, bring the world to them!

                                 

You already knew that. Organize, revise, rinse and repeat.
