Feature Friday: World Cup, VidCon 2014 + Decor Inspiration
In the midst of all the World Cup pandemonium, we’re packing our suitcases and putting together some final touches for our upcoming events on the West Coast + our new look online. How many of you will we be checking in at VidCon 2014?
Alas, you’ll have to wait and see for the big reveal for the new logo, but until then, you’ve got some reading to do…
Featured Venue: Center548

Three floors that make up a whopping 35,000 sq ft. of event space, Center548 is known as the “quintessential blank canvas” for #eventprofs due to the space’s flexible convertibility. Each floor has access to a freight elevator equipped with rigging points allowing cars to be driven onto any floor, including the rooftop, where you can take in the panoramic views of Manhattan on the open roof deck.
The venue was specifically built for event production: product launches for Fortune 500 companies, media upfronts, consulate meetings, fashion runways, galas, conferences and even weddings, to name a few. It also comes complete with high-speed Internet access (score!), and features a full-service catering kitchen on premise.
Contact their event management team and review the specifications and more photos to get an idea of how to utilize the space.
Featured #Eventprofs: Jordan Ferney of Oh Happy Day

In honor of our upcoming events and trips to the West Coast, we’ve got to recognize one of our favorite party and lifestyle bloggers, Jordan Ferney. Based out of San Francisco, Jordan shares her event planning skills through a spectrum of vibrant colors and DIY inspiration on her page. After coordinating events for former San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown, she added some international flair to her repertoire after a year “stint” in Paris.
Read: She’s très cool.
There are tons of neat finds on her site, from invitation ideas to home decor inspiration, she even offers free (+ unique!) printables to add that extra fun detail to your event.
We have an obsession for anything miniature.

Featured Event Detail: Grass Accents

Whether used as part of a tablescape, backdrop or any other creative idea you event planners can come up with, grass accents add an extra pop of color and texture to an event’s decor. They’re even used as lawn furniture these days—in the most literal sense possible:

It’s natural and fresh—except if you’re using the fake stuff—and works well when paired with other decor furnishings and color combinations. Plus, it’s the perfect decor to keep it green for the #WorldCup2014 in Brazil.

Go green!
