Feature Friday: Plannercrawl, Historic NJ & Gourmet Cotton Candy

We must say, it’s been a pretty great week and that’s because of the #plannercrawl event held in NYC this past Tuesday. Liz King and Co. put together a phenomenal time—as always—and we were ~~excitedly~~ waiting at the door with iPads in hand and lanyards inches away for local #eventprofs, eager to get their venue-mode on despite the AM snow showers. You can see some photos (thanks for the one above, Offsite!) and what people are saying about the event here.

We can’t wait for the next one. In the meantime…

Millennials & You

Oh, Millennials. Robbie started off the century with this little ditty—and we’re not saying he’s the Shakespeare of our time or anything, just that he kind of saw where we were heading. Kinda.

We’ve been talking about how 2014 is the year of the VISUAL and the importance of creating an experience for your guests and attendees. They are the tech-saavy users, the researchers, the opinion leaders; they are the next round of folks to tie the knot, and they’re attracted of all the Pinterest-style visuals and overall craftiness that the worldwide web has to offer.

They like to feel unique and they love to share what they like. Like ~~the rest~~ many of us, they feel lost without their mobile.

Feeling QR-ious?

Ahh, the infamous QR code. It’s been under criticism these last few months and as we’re embracing the ever-so-digital 2014, which according to techcrunch is the year of mobile. The desktop must be collecting dust as 66% of users say they use mobile devices to access their social networks these days!
