FEATURE FRIDAY: EVENT APP UPDATE + IBIZA IN NYC + THE IWALL
Keeping up with event industry trends is just as important and easy as keeping your apps updated. In order to have the most optimized event app experience (or any app for events), users ought to “check in” with the latest version of said app(s).
That being said, Version 3.12.1 of the Boomset Guest List App has been released. For the Boomset community, be sure to update to the latest version of the Boomset Guest List App on all devices. To see the current version you are using, log into your Boomset account on your mobile device or iPad, and look at the bottom right corner:

After checking your app updates, “check out” some highlights and inspirational event details below.
FEATURED VENUE: SPACE IBIZA, NYC

Thanks to the recommendations from Eventup, Space Ibiza is now on the radar for eventprofs looking trending event venues in NYC. Ideal for the experiential event planner, the venue holds from 600 (seated) to 840 (standing) attendees in a setting with the exclusivity of it’s original location in Ibiza while working in the chic ambiance and attitude of Manhattan. It also makes room for some great event entertainment and tech combinations:

Space Ibiza boasts a 20-foot LED wall (which would be a nice complement to the recommended event technology below) and a state-of-the-art Funktion One sound system, ideal for live shows, runways, or festivals. The space is also associated with Dek, a premium rooftop venue with a more relaxed atmosphere perhaps better suited for smaller events or corporate team building and a trendy event check-in above the crowds.

FEATURED #EVENTTECH: MULTITACTION IWALL

Thanks to the Event Industry News for keeping the event community informed, here’s another interactive event detail: an interactive touch screen wall. The MultiTaction iWall is essentially composed of individual smart panels, or cells, that are capable of identifying objects (including 2D bar codes) that interact with or located in front of the screen.
More than simply a digital wall, the MultiTaction IR Pen support allows users to write on the displays, as they can distinguish clearly between pen and touch interaction. The benefit for event professionals and attendees? It “makes the user feel like they are only touching the content not technology.”
According to their site, clients and partners can either write their own applications or develop plug-ins to work along with the MultiTaction in-house applications. Here are some popular “cell” combinations:

Ideal for conferences, meetings, retail events, and more, here’s a collection of videos showing how
Bloomberg and a few others implemented the technology at their events.

Boomset is proud to power this year’s #FOE16 in Amsterdam this August.
