From online events to on-the-scene event management, our Boomteam has a busy 2016 ahead of us. We kicked off the year participating BizBash’s first ever #GlobalDemoWeek, and got to share our thoughts, tips, and ideas behind cashless payments at events.

We love working with such a diverse, innovative group of eventtech teams across the globe, and are honored to continue to provide this community (and others!) with the latest and greatest in the event industry.

Here are some suggestions for your 2016 events.


FEATURED VENUE: THE MANHATTAN (AN AFFINITY HOTEL), NYC

When looking for NYC venues for corporate events, Manhattan NYC is the right city – and space. This versatile venue is home to nine rooms, each with its own distinct flair and decor that will accommodate upt o 325 guests. This is the ideal venue for chic off-site meetings, or small socials, where eventprofs will have over 10,000-square feet of flexible event canvas to exercise their creative talents.

The hotel also offers the option to add their exclusive catering package to your event, and 618 guestrooms in the event some attendees are in need of accommodations. FEATURED EVENT DETAIL: DATA REPORTING

It’s not a trend, it most certainly won’t just remain a feature on this blog, data is HUGE in 2016. From keeping New Year resolutions by tracking and collecting your daily activity/sleeping patterns, data is here to stay – and it’s also driving the future of events. Attendee tracking, lead retrieval tools, and extra details like signature and photo collections at check-in are just a handful of examples that people are using to share information and develop future business.

The data of today will help every department (marketing, HR, development, etc.) better prepare for the next event(s). It’s optimizing the experience at events and improving event performance thanks to real-time and post-event data reporting event apps.

The more data that’s collected, the more people begin to talk about security and their personal safety. We got in touch with Will Curran from Endless Entertainment, and here’s what he had to add:

“Safety at events (will also be trending). Security is huge and making sure you are working with a team who has safety as a priority is important. (And when it comes to event planning tips…) Start planning NOW! Don’t plan more than 3 months out. Take your 3 month (quarterly) goals and break them into monthly, weekly, and daily goals.”
