TAKING EVENT PLANNING TO-GO: THE EVENTTECH CHECKLIST

Considered one of the most stressful careers (Again!), even marketing and sales teams are in on the event planning hustle, looking for ways to efficiently and effectively produce and manage events from start to finish. While many of the top event planning blogs recommend event planning survival kits, social media marketing tips for events, and other valuable content, they’re also looking to be prepared pre-event, during, and post event (especially when it comes to the follow-up).

THE EVENTTECH CHECKLIST

✓ CHARGING CABLES

Just in case you’ve run out of battery, it’s always a good idea to bring your device’s charging cable. With inventions like the AnyLink, skip the wall outlet attachment and conveniently use another device to recharge.

✓ HOTSPOT

This is for those that have a small data plan and/or are traveling to an event venue that houses slow or poor WiFi connectivity. Today’s MiFi-style hotspots offer fast connections via respected networks.

✓ USB

Having some extra space can come in handy for files, documents, photos, or any other data that needs to be downloaded/transferred last-minute.

✓ APP DOWNLOADS

Whether it’s an attendee networking app, Twitter, or your interoffice chat thread, have it on your dashboard or home screen and ready to be connected.

✓ PROVIDER INFORMATION

In the event that you can’t connect to to a network or have troubleshooting questions, have any relevant information (password, user access codes, etc.) readily available.

✓ PAPERCLIP

It requires no charging, is portable, and serves as a tool should you need to remove a device’s SIM card in a pinch. (Note: Use the pinhole item that came with your device when available. Be careful not to make any scratches!)
