Feature Friday
The city was in full holiday mode this week, especially with the lighting of the tree in Rockefeller Center. Let the ice skating, endless cups of hot cocoa and outrageously-fun holiday parties commence!
Let’s get to the first finds for December and one of the last few editions left for 2013…
Featured Venue: Hyatt Times Square
We had the pleasure of meeting with some of the lovely team members of the Hyatt this week and were informed of the opening this past Tuesday. It features the ONLY hotel spa in Times Square, an upscale diner restaurant and is home to the highest rooftop lounge in NYC (54 floors up high in the sky, to be exact).
The hotel boasts 8,000 square feet of meeting and event space with floor-to-ceiling windows, and for a more intimate affair, a 2,000-square-foot ballroom and 1,400-square-foot outdoor terrace event space overlooking the city, right in the heart of Times Square.
Our favorite part? The hi-tech amenities like iPad Check-in. We can’t wait to stay over!

Featured #EventProf: First Protocol
One of the best international event management and production companies in the business, we’re lucky to have the folks at First Protocol as part of our network. They work globally to provide their clientele—including JP Morgan, PepsiCo and NASDAQ, to name just a few—with impeccable service. They aim to attain the utmost satisfaction going as far (and beyond!) as providing advisory services and resource solutions to their clients, as well.
You can find their impressive portfolio and more information about the company here.
(Re)Featured Fun: Paint Nite
Awhile back—a legit #ThrowbackThursday if today weren’t Friday—we mentioned something about Paint Nite as an activity to spark your creativity, or let loose and enter your state of zen before or after a stressful—but successful—event. We were finally able to participate in the activity to really see what it was all about.

As we sipped on tasty beverages from the Astoria Brewhouse, Brenda Kato—the “Queen of Queens” and head artist of PaintNite Queens—and our lovely instructor Nancy Hoffmann led us through a wonderful and creative painting session.
The event is definitely worth attending, and with so many options for foodies in Astoria, you can make it a nice evening out with friends, colleagues, or maybe even clients.

We’re no bunch of Picassos, but not too shabby, huh?
